Jessica Boyd, Optician

Jessica recently convinced her husband to relocate from Kansas City to her hometown of Olathe. There, they share a home with the cutest pup, Poppy, as well as with the love of Jessica's life: The TV show Mad Men. In addition, she fancies herself a fashion historian, which comes in handy since she collects vintage scarves and brooches. On the weekend, she can be found freelancing as a makeup artist, visiting the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum, or searching for another great bakery in Kansas City--She loves a baked good.

Jessica has been a lifelong lover of education, having attended KU and subsequently finding joy in pursuing film criticism, painting and photo-editing. She has the distinct honor of receiving the last place in every track event she participated in as a high school freshman. She's also quite proud of her ability to change her oil (although she never does). Throughout her career, she's received awards for demonstrating kindness, leadership, and initiative. She once dressed her dog as Ann-Margaret from Bye, Bye Birdie.

Jessica feels at home at Curts & Reed Optometry because they share her love of knowledge and passion for empathy. She looks forward to filling her home with art, continuing to snuggle her puppy, (hopefully) achieving the ability to bake a perfect French macaron, and of course, continuing caring for others at Curts & Reed.
